I am a mixed media artist and painter in both oils and acrylics. My work depicts buildings, interiors and landscapes that explore the human experience, values, emotions and politics. The work can be viewed as snapshots of perfect moments that may not be what they seem.
I grew up in a suburb of Buffalo, New York and graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology. After working in the marketing and communications fields, I moved to Delmar, New York, where I raised two sons. I returned to college and received extensive education in drawing, painting, and art history from The College of St. Rose and supplemented that knowledge with numerous workshops.
My work has been exhibited in many juried shows including: several years in the Artists of the Mohawk Hudson Region receiving a Juror’s Award; a national exhibition “Intermedia” at the Shoe Factory Gallery in Glens Falls receiving a Second Place Award; a First Place Award from the New York State Art Show of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs; and several years in the “Upstate Artists” at the Laffer Gallery in Schuylerville, NY, receiving a Best in Show Award. I am currently represented by the Laffer Gallery and my work is held in many private collections.
I live and work in Slingerlands, New York.
